Re: That Scirocco feeling wuz Julie's

Patrick is totally right. These cars aren't worth jack. That's why I own one. As much as I'd rather have a '72 Porsche or something, I don't because Sciroccos are cheap and as much fun to drive (I imagine its close anyway), just not as much to look at. Parting cars almost always makes more money than selling them - it's just a question of whether the trouble is worth it to you. As for my car, its rough, drives great and I've put about 3500 into it total for almost 5 years. That has kept a lot of miles off of my other cars, and allowed us to sell our GTI many months before we bought its replacement, which alone saved me over $2000. When someone like our dear Mr. Ables throws 30 grand at one over a couple of years I get kinda confused, but whatever.

However, Julie was dead wrong. We will not love Patrick anyway. JK.

Man! Somebody's got to bust your chops! But it isn't going to be me.
Scirocco's are fun to drive. If they're well maintained. My 84 that I've owned off the showroom
floor is fun.
