Now:Opinions on Royal Purple was: Gear Oil....again!

I used Royal Purple in most my vehicles, their engine oil is very nice
though expensive, (Mobil 1 does the same thing and cost less), but in the
tranny and differentials (my jeeps), that is what I use, and I have zero
complaints and 1 praise, the noisy trannies and differentials and nice and
quiet and happy. 

I have used for a long time the Valvoline products and they do a good job,
and the cost is fine (even the syntech series), but I noticed less sludge
from royal purple than from any other gear oil (including redline) when
emptying the tranny on rocco, and that is what sold me on it 4 years ago.

Heck my local lube shop now carries it because, I always brought mine with
me when I got the Jeeps services there.. yes RP makes 20w50 in engine oil as
well...
