Thrust washer and Main Bearings Question

Anyone have experience with crankshaft, two piece main bearing (Center
Bearing) versus the stock six piece bearing and thrust washer set up?  I
have heard that the two-piece set up, the ones with built in thrust
washers, fail prematurely.
