Intermediate Shaft



Well, first off the hole in the bearing insert needs to line up with the 
hole in the block. After that I believe your assumption that the groove 
should point at the gear makes a lot of sense. I have a block with inserts I 
can look at if required.
Do not sand the bearing inserts so they fit in the hole. They are sized that 
way so they need to be pressed into the hole and will stay in place due to 
the press fit. If you don't have a press take it to a machine shop. It's 
cheap and they won't damage the inserts.

Hello all I have been away form the list and working on my rocco for quite 
some time. The scirooco is a 1985 1.8V i got the engine bored out and the 
head rebuilt and I am starting to finally rebuild my first JH 1.8 8V. Right 
now I am installing the intermediate shaft and have a few questions if 
anyone can help me that would be great here is the details with pictures on 
a website.
