Busted shifter linkage....help!!!!

A couple of weeks ago I posted a similar question to the list as I had also
lost second and fourth. The thought was linkage and last weekend I checked
all the linkage and everything was fine. All still attached with no visible
reason for the problem. After checking everything out I could shift in to
second and fourth if I jammed it in, but it would not go readily. I have
some time again tomorrow to get under the car and look for other
possibilities. I am hoping mine is not the same, but I am thinking I will
have the same bad luck.

Al, Feeling like a road trip to Charleston to do some welding?

I was afraid of that. My front mount is pretty recent, but my rear
tranny mount is pretty squishy. I was planning on replacing it soon,
guess not soon enough. Time to find a welder!
