bbs wheel restoration

...so my bud finally got some stock bbs wheels for his m3, they were in
horrific shape, but only some minor bends. after much stripping,
straightening, lip sanding, and painting, here is the result:

came out pretty good, considering i used a knock off $40 spray gun (harbor
freight), and did the spraying outside, in front of the garage, on a windy
day. i really need a paint booth. the paint used was basf limco. i used the
same stuff on the rieger wheels, though it was base coat only. we had to go
with base+clear on these to seal the lips. i stopped the polishing at 800
grit as to ensure proper adhesion of the clearcoat. though the base-only
limco has a good gloss to it, the base+clear combo definitely brings out
metallic paints.

so... i guess i should do a set of teardrops next, eh? or perhaps someone
has a set of bbs wheels they want restored? the stripping took the most time
(a week on and off), while the rest of the work was done in 6 hours (i was
way more prepared this time around).
