True, it just means that he appears to have the manners of one. :-) On the other hand, because I post a topic that he does not agree with, it does not make me one either. This is the way I feel when he replies with comments of, "This bears no merit whatsoever". No, I am not quoting, but it is obvious his comments are similar to the above, and too full of opinion (ie emotive)to be taken seriously.

I am making the same argument I did some months ago against the man, the he gives short, cryptic answers to a vast topic with many varialbes that neither of us understand completely. His reply then was something to the effect of, "I didn't think anyone really cared about the details." Well guess what? I still do. I have not changed, but his responses have slid back into their old-man-on-a-hill patent pattern. Perhaps I am posting or arguing ideas that no one else really cares to hear, if so, let me know off-list! I am not here to be a burden to anyone. However, I do not, nor will I ever accept someone who constantly appeals to authority! If I did, I would not believe what our forefathers did some 200+ years ago, nor would I believe in Jesus, or more to the point, I would not believe that you can indeed get more than 400 hp from a 1.8T! Now while I do not liken myself to be as great as any of the examples I just mentioned, I do know that there is more than one to find 'the truth'!

I am tired of posting topics that causes disagreement. I have enough angry people to contend with each day (I really need to find another job)... I am tired of folks with no direct experience poo-pooing someone elses' experience or ideas, simply because it does not fit in their world view. I will make the following promise to you all... I will no longer post ideas that are radical, inflamatory, irritating, controversial, upsetting, or otherwise unneccessary to assist me in doing what I am already doing... It would seem that my ideas are not particularly welcome, much less understood. I am done.

I was thinking that this was a list for discussion... I see that I was wrong, and that in fact, it is a list for disputing ideas. If it were for debate, I could handle it. However, how could I ever post an idea as good, or as credible as Larrys'? BTW, has he ever posted an idea, mechanical or otherwise? Or is he better at disputing others' ideas? Hmmm, must do some research...

David
