It should be possible, -if- you can find a mechanical base, and you find the
same type of seat to swap with.  As in Factory Recaro to same, versus
aftermarket recaro to factory...  The two will not interchange in this
manner.  The two have some obvious difference once side by side.  If you
find a set and they look just like yours, you are in luck...

very nice seats....

but what I want to know is if I have to keep these electric or if i can swap
to a mechanical base to save weight.
