West Track Day... Was:RE: And then there was boost

That's right. I've driven the Reno to Chicago 3 times and fro some odd reason, I-80 is the point that sticks out the most. Elko, I usually sleep through that town.

The "salt flat interstate" is I-80 just west of Salt Lake City and is practically an urban metropolis compared to the stretch of I-70 (175 miles southeast of Salt Lake City) that I had problems on!

That sounds like the salt flat interstate. Gas station one one end and a casino on the other end.

What could go wrong? I dunno, how about your lower alternator falling out on
I-70 on the 120 mile (190 km) stretch of absolutely nothing (no services, no
cell phone, no shade, no nothing) at 100 MPH in 100:F heat in central Utah?

-Marc, still up for it!

Oh Marc... live a little. ;)
What could possibly go wrong at a track day that would prevent you from
driving all the way back home across the country!? hehe...

I would have reserves about it also... but there are always solutions
when surrounded by friends and local airports. :)

Like Mark, I would need to wait to do this trip next Summer sometime
once my car has been sorted out a little better...
So Mark... get your car done and all ready to go...
cause we're making a cannonball run!

Ben
