Shocky meets his first challenge!

Well, Kirsten's on the plane home now, so I'll take the liberty to repond.
The bypass valve is routed back into the turbo intake. Kirsten doesn't care for the blow off sound.
But despite routing it back in the sound is still pretty pronounced when you shift at moderate
engine speeds although I don't notice it when Kirsten is shifting at redline. Got me!!
As far as a GT28RS and an ATP kit?
Ah! I sense someone that hasn't gone to www.funksoulkitty.org and looked around quite enough!!!
Shocky already has a custom big-assed turbo that Kirsten bought from Kinetic It flows quite a bit
more than the GT28RS and is suprisingly responsive just tooling around at 3000 RPM. Kirsten has a
dyno chart from Kinetic of this turbo on a 1.8T pumping 20 psi and making 340HP ;^)
I don't think ATP even makes a complete kit for the A1, certainly not for this turbo and the
intercooler that Kirsten selected. But, even if they did, why buy crap (yes, I think most of their
stuff is crap!) when you can fabricate your own installation? Shocky's turbo installation is
completely custom! (Well, aside from the ATP exhaust manifold, but, Hell! there are some things it
just doesn't pay to make yourself!)
Yes, she has Eric's brace.
As far as the topless comment, it was just a take off on somebody else's comment to provoke slackers
to look at the videos.
