removing ac compressor

I have the square type ac compressor and I'm trying to remove it. How the heck do you get this thing off? There's all kinds of plates and rods and bolts holding it in, you'd think it weighs 5 tons. I've gotten the hose that goes to the radiator thing off but can't figure out how to get the other hoses off to pull out the whole thing. I've undone the plate on the front and the rod that goes from the bottom to the starter (? I didn't look that closely). There are two small bolts that look like they hold clamps that holds the hoses on the on the driver's side of the compressor, but they're completely round. Suggestions?
