clutch problem

Thanks guys. I ended up buying a new clutch for my car and installing my
old trans back into the car. I didn't have the time to keeps messing with
the new trans and clutch to see what the problem was. I know it wasn't the
clutch cable after all though. because I installed the manual one and
adjusted it all the way up and it did the same thing. How ever I have some
things that might have been the problem:
1. flywheel bolts where put on with a impact gun and not torqued=could this
cause it?
2. 6 puck solid disk with a 8v pressure plate
3. tranny syncros might have been bad
