clutch problem

The auto adjuster cable is stranded as well (otherwise it would not be 
flexible) however it has some kind of plastic or vinyl coating running 
down the length of it.  I've cut through more than a few of them, and 
they're stranded (and a PITA to cut with sidecutters.)
