Starter Bolts - Size for replacements?

Hi Listers - I'm wondering if someone can tell me the size / length / 
pitch of the starter bolts on a 16V Scirocco.  The frame shop doing the 
repairs on my front crossmember just called and told me the existing 
bolts are stripped and that I'll need replacements.They had some 
difficulty removing the starter to get at the Work on the xmember.  The 
VW Parts Dealer didn't answer (I left a message) and they tend not to 
have older parts in stock, as I'm sure most folks here know.  I'd like 
to get my Roc back this afternoon if possible, so if I have to, I'll try 
to local nut & bolt shop in town.
