overheating..SOLUTIONS TO THIS P.I.T.A.

Don't listen to Al ;) That green does things to yer mind ;) I still twitch.

I totally removed my thermo. Of course I'm in texas where my car doesn't
warm up 3 days out of the year. But it does freeze. So for those that have
drilled or removed it, simply slip a piece of cardboard half the size of
yer radiator right in front of it. My car warms up quick and stays perfect
temp during the winter. And the cardboard is free, totally customizable
day per day (just insert a bigger or smaller piece to get desired temp per
day's coldness) and I never have to mess with coolant if it fails. Cardboard
is my friend :)

i drilled the one on the rieger and it takes about 10 minutes of normal
driving to reach running temp. i only made a couple 1/16 slits in the t-stat
disc with a dremel cut-pff wheel.
