filling in holes (need info)

Weld them in, brazing or mig your choice.

Yeah, I figured I'd have to pull the interior, but I also figured there was more to it than that. What's going to keep the bondo in place though? When I sand it smooth, won't it no longer be holding on to anything? Someone suggested denting it in a bit and then smoothing the dent (and hole) with bondo, which sounds like it would work but I'd really rather not put dents in the car.
