Sewing Skills [was Re: [tech] need to repair top

I have 2 sewing machines that I use.
A Brother I bought from the Salvation Army for 10$ and the other was built
in 1867. (It was a plant stand for years till I bought it. It took about 6
months to bebuild and refinish).

My prefrence? The old tredle machine just for the fun of it. Sews well and I
have more control.

Car of Prefrence? 1981 VW.

I like the old stuff. (See Larry! Still thinking of you :)
