Importing a car from Germany...

I think this has been discussed before but does anyone know what the 
details are for doing this? I realize the car will not be street legal but 
can it be brought in? if the vehicle is cut is it cheaper? Future plans... 
early planning.

It's either this or going to Germany and taking the thing apart and 
shipping the pieces ... Rather not do that since I don't have anyplace to 
stay.

Maybe I could crash with Tobias' family over there, they won't mind me 
taking a car apart in their driveway  ;-)
