I chopped up my exhaust.

I'm posting this to the list too because I think it might be important for people to know who are thinking of using a local performance shop to build their exhaust. Sort of a "buyer beware"...

I needed to replace the tailpipe and muffler on my Eurosport on my 'roc, so I ordered another muffler from Eurosport and decided to have a local performance shop make me a mandrel bent tailpipe. Mind you, this is a shop that actually builds very competitive funnycars, competing in NHRA on a national level (Burkart in Utica, NY). I asked several times if he could bend pipe with a true mandrel. Several times the answer was yes. Then the pipe came out and it had bends in it that look like the one in the middle pipe laid out on your hood on that website. I was p!ssed, that one section of pipe with two bends cost me $30 and I still had to weld the hanger on.

If you think that bend was bad you should see the cheap exhaust I put on my old crap Ford work truck. It welded it together out of generic pieces bought locally that have the "bendy straw" bends in them, several corrugations on the inside of the bend. That slightly flattened bend has got to be better than that!
