Straightening bent rims

> Can you really straighten an
> untrue wheel with a deadblow?

an untrue spinning alloy wheel is usually just really bent on one side - its
just a really big bend. this usually requires a jack between a bolted up
brake rotor and the inner lip of the rim. it may be possible with the dead
blow, but it would take all day. the hammer method is usually for bent
sections no longer than about 4".

side note - the 'face' of the wheel is not normally the cause of the untrue
condition. it is usually just a large radius bend of the rim portion.

> How many pounds is yours and what design?
