My scirocco knocked out by a ford!



Well, back in the day, my 77 Firebird would run pukey if it was even damp. 
"Pontiacitis" we'd call it. I suspect it was electrical, and if you have any 
cracks in insulation anywhere important, electical shorts would be another 
possibility.
And I'm not even revisiting the "Waterfest suckage of water into the engine" 
story. Those who lived through it won't want to either.
Long story short? Don't drive in a downpour with a missing corner marker 
near your K&N cone filter. Luckily it was the kid's diesel, I don't think 
mine would have survived it.
