1. whats a good entry point (you would have to drill somewhere)
I think they do allude to drilling in some cases... I personally am not
against it, esp. if I think I will get as much of a gain as I will. I would
only drill on the inside of the car however, and seal appropriately when
finished...

2. how do you get the foam distributed within all areas of the rocker?

A very good question, especially once I see the cutaways that you offered...
I would say at this point you are a better expert than I am here! :) I do
have a Rabbit body I could sacrifice for this, and perhaps do a write-up
about it... I might do well to go buy a Sawzall and go to town... It would
be a bit of a pity, a good straight body like that.... What do you think,
Allyn? With your sectioning the Sciroccos, and me doing this Rabbit, could
be come up with a plan for the best way to apply this stuff?
I will call them tomorrow and ask if they have any direct experience with
any particular import, and offer up our concerns for the multiple layers
stopping flow... Perhaps they will be able to offer some ideas as well...
Let me know what you think, and I will report what the foam folks say...

Regards,
David

also, heres another idea, check out this pic of the front engine bay:

there are a few plugs which would allow entry points without drilling
there is also the area within the firewall:
http://scirocco.dhs.org/vw/pics/0-allyn/project/images/020328-125608-Z10.jpg
(plug visible in this case)
theres also some decent candidates in the rear:

http://scirocco.dhs.org/vw/pics/incoming/images/031122-135611-Z10.jpg
especially the last one. that entire beam that wraps along the wheel well is
totally hollow, as well as the beam that runs across the bottom of the
hatch, forward of the wheel wells. the part thats missing in this pic:
http://scirocco.dhs.org/vw/pics/0-allyn/project/images/030130-204021-Z10.jpg
you can see the outline of where it started just forward of the base of the
shock tower.

anyhow, this may be more creative uses of extra foam than just throwing it
into large vacant areas within the fenders/body.
