headlight relaying tech article




The way the filaments are setup, with the lens and reflector, it allows
the low beam to have a cut-off, so you don't blind oncoming traffic, and
the high beam uses the whole headlight.

Does anybody know why they bothered putting two filaments in the low
beam bulbs ?

I mean, with stock bulbs.. 55/60.. there's only a 5 watt difference. It
can't be that-much-brighter?!!
