Peter,
there is probably a general calc somewhere, but only the manufacturer is 
going to know what 'ideal' pressure would be for a given size / applied 
weight to a specific type of tire. even then, their 'ideal' will likely be 
what pressure gives the most even tread wear/life, and wouldnt necessarily 
give the best handling.
