reverse issue with an 8v tranny--Grind prevention

Bah, double-clutching a Scirocco is fluff.  Down on the farm we
double-clutch things that have flywheels that weigh more than your
entire engine.  And synchros?  What the hell are those?  A little whiff
of throttle will match the gears up, and if they don't, well, the
neighbours will hear it.
