IIRC, VW started using the 10mm triple square starter bolts in '85, on
A1's and A2's.
The good news is that you can use the old 8mm allen bolts, instead.

NOT being a Torx after all, but a Tripplesquare (or Twelve Point) like
CV and Head Bolts.
