Where is the engine code??



Did you install the high volume oil pump, from the RD too?

It's very possible for an A2 GTI to have a JH, but like Dan said they
originally came with the RD/HT 10:1 engines w/hydraulic lifters.

JH is solid lifter.  If it's an '85 GTI, it's hydraulic lifter, isn't it?

I had a JH in my '85.  I swapped a GTI head in for the time being, it's
hydro for sure.

I could be wrong.
