JH carb setup

Hi all,

I'm new to the list (I was actually referred to the list by Dan Kraus this evening), and I have a question about switching from CIS to carbs.

The car in question is an 84 Wolfsburg 'rocco with the JH motor and 4k tranny. The only engine mods are: G-grind camshaft, euro ignition distributor, and dual downpipe setup. I only drive the thing in the summer, on nice days, so cold weather/bad conditions won't be an issue.

The carb setup I'm looking at is a pair of 2 barrel Weber 40mm DCOMs. (DCOM is like the DCOE, but supposedly has a more robust venturi).

My question is what should I run for fuel pressure, and what jet size should I start with? I'm just looking for a good starting point with the jet size (better to be too fat) and then I can fine tune it from there.

My goal with this (other than the sound and the good looks) is more simplicity than performance (although performance gains are nice too). I would be pretty happy to be able to get rid of the lambda circuitry/o2 sensor, injector lines, airbox/fuel distributor, etc.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. It's no good trying to talk me out of it, either - this is something I've been dying to try for a long time. Worst case is that I blow up my motor. :)
