My 1st Dyno

You see, I was the opposite, I was delighted when Klaus ran 66.6hp at the
wheels, for an old guy, that's spot on for what his little 1.6 should have
been, when you take off the drivetrain loss. (factory rating is 74 hp I
believe) The dyno sure is the great leveller. No bullshitting allowed there.
I think my stock 2L was around 112, and it's now almost exactly double what
Klaus makes, which isn't so bad at all. But nothing in the grand scheme of
things. What's the rule, add about 10 hp, and another 10% to go from chassis
to engine dyno numbers? That works really well for both of my stock runs.

(so 87 + 10 + 10%= 97 + 9.7 = 106.7, which is WELL above your 90 factory
rating, is the engine heavily modified?)

Those look like good numbers to me, if the engine is rated at 90 hp. And
these cars are so small, 5 or 10 hp increase does a lot for the go forward
factor. It's not like we're trying to propell a Challenger or something.

I'm sure those with more expertise will chime in shortly...
Cathy
