question on tires and ride once again(long)

My 84 has always cupped the inside edge of the rear tires although I've never had a problem with the
fronts.
I've had the alignment checked multiple times and it's always been good.
Don't know why it does it.
The only effective cure is to rotate the tires often. I do it every time I change the oil. 3000
miles.
On question of mileage, even with tires with a 140 wear rating I still get 30,000 miles and I drive
as hard as the law allows.
