There are four things holding the instrument cluster in there. 1. is the screw at the top. then the speedometer cable in the back, and two wire harnesses in the back attached to the intrument cluster.  You have to disconnect these before it will come out.  You don't need to remove the steering wheel by the way.  When all of these things are removed from the back of the instrument cluster, it can be removed by tilting it foward, then pushing the left side back into the dash rotating the cluster, then pull the hole thing out.
