Cooling with oil



Oil is more viscous than water so it would pump slower. That would reduce
cooling capacity.
Oil also has less thermal capacity than water so the amount of heat that
could be carried by a given volume of coolant would also decrease. That
would also decrease cooling capacity.
OTOH you would never have any corrosion in your cooling system!

I was wondering if you could take the coolant out of a JH engine and fill it
with oil and have it work.  I don't plan on doing it, I was just wondering,
maybe I just need another cup of coffee.
