Well I have one of each, and I know which I prefer. But I drove the 
following yesterday:
86 8v
80S 8V
MkII Wolfie 8V (don't recall year)
Another S 16V (don't recall the year, 80 or 81)
87 2L 16V
A few other interesting non Roccs

I came out of it still loving that dang thing of mine, despite how she 
treats me, but the others WERE nice...and there were a few I'd be delighted 
to take home.
(can you guess where I am?)

PS Welcome! There is no real engine based division in the group, we just 
like to torment each other, and some of us own both types. And you could 
split us along MkI/MkII lines to. You'll like the group, excellent people.
