hey all, i just bought a 8v 1986 scirocco. its an awesome car and i love 
it! One of my scirocco friends turned me on to this list and i already have 
my first question... here it is:

The engine ran fine for about 1 hour 1/2, starting and stopping in traffic 
and driving on the highway (around 70). Took it home, let it sit for about 
1 hour and went out driving again for about 15 minutes, and it ran fine. 
then i took my buddy with and i really stomped on it, revving to about 6000 
a few times and just really gunning it overall (first time going full 
throttle).

after a few of those runs i came up to a light and the engine stalled. 
tried to start it (with all pedals depressed) and no go. i have to press 
the gas down (ie: open throttle) and crank the engine so that it will rev, 
otherwise it will not idle. if i let go of gas its in instant stall.

any ideas?
