50mm manifold ? (revisited)

Forgot one thing when asking about this previously...

When and if I decide to go with the manifold, do I need the upper AND
lower manifold,

or does the 50mm upper bolt directly onto the existing lower manifold
that I have with the 40/41mm?

I see autotech (for example) sells them as a set, but not sure if both
pieces are necessary.

Then Im asssuming the Plenum  gaskets that are sold are different part
numbers..? anyone?
