cross-flow vs g60

Jeez, Patrick! I'm hobbled with an 8V!
I was acting like a 16V guy and stirring the pot!
I think the cross flow heads till 95 had dual valve springs. Later ones were single spring. Don't know if MK IV head is any different or not, but I'd go with a pre-95 head.

  Thank you for the info, so any head up to MKIII head can be used on my 2L ..??
  why hobble myself with an 8v, because I like a challenge that my pocket book can handle. :)

    The stock cross flow head has much better flow than the stock JH head (145cfm vs 130 are rough numbers) and probably can be made to flow more if both are ported just because there is more room between ports.
    Less heat input from the exhaust is good.
    There was no stock mechanical cross flow head, although I'm sure you could convert if you really wanted to.
    I just want to know one thing. Why hobble yourself with an 8V??? ;^)

    so there is no real advantage/disavantage between normal head (exhaust) at
    the rear and a xflow head (exhaust in the front.

    I am asking because I would think that if I do get ITB's it would be better
    to get a xflow head to move the intake from the rear of the engine (sitting
    over the exhaust manifold ect.) to the front and grab more fresh air that
    way.

    Does anyone know if I can use Sodium filled 7mm valves with an xflow without
    a problem ?
    and the next dumb question;
    is there a xflow head that is mechanical instead of hydraulic ?
