cross-flow vs g60

so there is no real advantage/disavantage between normal head (exhaust) at
the rear and a xflow head (exhaust in the front.

I am asking because I would think that if I do get ITB's it would be better
to get a xflow head to move the intake from the rear of the engine (sitting
over the exhaust manifold ect.) to the front and grab more fresh air that
way.

Does anyone know if I can use Sodium filled 7mm valves with an xflow without
a problem ?
and the next dumb question;
is there a xflow head that is mechanical instead of hydraulic ?
