Remember those German language stickers we discussed...

This is very true, especially for the ricers!

For example, I have seen three that made zero sense to
Japanese readers:

Taido = Attitude
Mushi = Insect
Kuma = Bear

While these may make sense to the average American
doing a literal translation, one would think you would
like it to make sense to an individual that can
actually read it.

My wife says that Chikara = power, and Soku = speed
would make more sense when used on a car. Although
some people have been seen with Kamikaze and Banzai,
which I suppose could make sense on a car.

My guess is that Americans like the Kanji characters
because they look cool, and if somebody says that a
certain character means Dragon, they believe them and
slap it on their back window.

And to make this fair, in Japan there is no end to the
stupid stickers written in English that make
absolutely no sense no matter how they're translated.
