mk1 radiator hose question

This might be a stupid question, but are all mk1 w/ A/C upper radiator
hoses the same?  The outlet on the head does a 90 degree bend to avoid
the big ol' york compressor.  The only reason I ask is because I thought
I had remembered seeing some other configuration.
