Polishing aluminum bits

I agree with Ron.  I bead blasted an intake, took off the casting marks
with a file and some sand paper and then powder coated (with the help of
a fellow lister).  I have some pics if you want to see the final
product.

Oh man....my best advice: don't.  I haven't tried a VW manifold but have
done a lot of other
stuff...what a dirty, time consuming PITA.  Oh, you can do it, get a
1/4" die grinder and a ton of
cutting/sanding/polishing accessories...or, file/grind off the sharp
edges, sand blast it, and
have it powder coated.  

It's just much easier on your constitution.    <---name that line.
