Battery relocation question: The sequel

Get a nice big Car Stereo fuse holder. Once you get up over 60 amps, you
should go to either a ANL fuse or a MAXI fuse. Phoenix Gold makes good
fuseholders for both types. I used a 200 amp ANL slowblow fuse on a 1/0
cable. The retail price of these things is pretty high but margin is big so
you should be able to convince somebody to give you a decent deal. Beware
of the cheapo stuff, they use really inferior metal inside and coat them in
a gold finish. I have broken several of these and found that the metal
inside looks dry and poudery - like carbon dust or something. We put a
phoenix one in the vise and couldn't break it with anything.

You could also use a circuit breaker which may be around the same price.
This would also function as a pretty good on/off kill switch for your
battery. Just be careful for cheapos here too because you don't want this
failing. The circuit breaker will have 2 nice posts with nuts so you can
attach any ring terminal.
