weights

For a submariner it has advantages I suppose.
1) He takes up less space, allowing for a greater volume of air with in the 
sub.
2) He can take quiet time in a torpedo tube if he wishes.

Disadvantage
1) He has to run around in the shower to get wet.

(Now Julie will go into hiding for a while  :)
