1987 16V Technical Questions

> (1.) I am taking my half-shafts out and replacing with newer ones with
good boots, what do I need part wise to re-install.

other than the newer half shafts, nothing special. any bolts not on hand can
be taken from the old ones.

> (2.) I want to replace my tie rods and all bushings underneath the car,
who has the best price for these, stock will do.

> (3.) I have a idle problem, it revs to 1250 rpms even when warm, I have
cleaned out the ISV and cleaned the throttle body real good and adjusted the
idle set screw, what am I doing wrong.

check mixture (DPR current and the like), also, 02 sensor

> (4.) Will calipers from a 1996 Jetta fit my 16V with the 16V brackets,
will the pads from the scirocco 16V fit in these calipers???
