i would go for 2 sets for 1.8 bore and 8.5:1 (possibly 8.8:1 or 9:1). that
sounds like a common enough number that many others would jump on, and bring
the price down far enough.
actually, if it was cheap enough, i'd do 3 sets.
an important thing to ask them is could they do different variants (c/r /
bore), per person as part of the group buy.
