Fan still running killing battery?

there is a pressure switch in your a/c system that causes the fan to run
on high. it stays on after the ignition is turned off to prevent evaporator
damage. its based on one of the refrigerant pressures. you may have some
blockage or low freon level, possibly causing weird pressures for extended
times after shutdown.
the other possibility is that if you are running very hot with the a/c on,
the after-run temperature switch in the head may be causing the fan to kick
on. i cant see this keeping it on for more than 5 minutes... unless the
switch is sticking internally.
the way to differentiate between the 2 - if the fan is already in high
before you shut the car off, its the a/c pressure switch. if the fan was off
or low, but switched to high when you shut the car off, its teh high temp
after-run circuit (as the relay for that circuit doesnt engage until the ign
is cut).
