Relay question..

Im after how it routes. 
Ive got a unknown relay, 4 prong and im trying to figure out how it wires
up to run a set of lights. 
I will use power thru a switch to the relay. then from there....
What I have on the relay is:

85  87
86  30

it appears that battery power will travel thru 85 and 86 when power is
supplied to 87 and 30 is a ground. Sound right? Or does power flow from
86 to 85? or does that matter?
