semi OT - Lame bodywork question

Most things I've heard about Bondo state quite the contrary(on it's not rusting steel). On the 240Z list everybody hates bondo with a passion, 240's are fairly old('70-'73) and their owners deal with rust a lot. Apparently over time, Bondo actually absorbs moisture(only what I've heard, but heard frequently) and rusts the metal to hell. Time and time again people were finding Bondo tucked away somewhere on there car, always accompanied by A LOT of rust. In almost all cases it had even been painted over. The few that chose to use Bondo would use something like POR-15 on the steel, paint it, bondo it, and paint over the Bondo. Just thought I'd chime in-

if you paint with por-15 first, let it dry, then sand it a lil' (just to
scuff it up) you should be able to bondo right over it. i've done this
before with no bondo adhesion problems. hth
