9A swap Q's

Hey listers
I found a 2.0 16v from a '92 Passat with 93K miles and I'm thinking about
putting it in my car... but I have a couple questions:

Is this truly a plug and play swap?  92 passat 9A w/ CIS-motronic -> 87 16v
scirocco PL w/CIS-E.  Almost all of the ignition, fuel, and cooling system
parts/sensors in my car are new.  Will all of this swap over to the 9a?

The 9A is missing the distributor, other than that it's complete.  Other than a
timing belt and tensioner are there any other components I should check or plan
on replacing while the motor's out? 

does anyone have any links to any swap guides or FAQs?  I checked the archives,
.org links, vwvortex, and a few listers pages but only found bits and pieces.
