tt race dp question: can I fit a cat with it?



My understanding of catalytic converters is limited but I do know that they 
do not actually start to 'work' until they get hot, very hot... this is the 
reason many companies have been creeping the cats higher and higher up the 
exhaust lines to meet LEV or better. Placing the cat back in the resonator 
position my not be a good idea.

On another note my 84 8V had a hollowed out cat (pipe weleded down the 
center) and it always passed both visual and emissions so if the engine is 
well tuned and the inspector doesn't know better you may have a good chance 
of passing.
