In CO and rocc issue

It all seems straight and only sticks when it's pretty cold. Also, now that I'm here I've noticed my car feels like it's struggling with the thin air, is there a fix for this? My car takes a few seconds to turn over, but the battery and starter sound strong, should I go with a new battery? Lastly, when I shift it feels like someone replaced my gear oil with molasses, is this just from old, crappy oil?
